PACHEEDAHT FIRST NATION -JOB POSTING

Pacheedaht First Nation is accepting applications for the position of NNADAP worker.
-Increasing the awareness and understnading about alcohol and substance issues through programs, workshops, activities and presentations.
-Support for individuals and families in pre and post-treatment
-assess clients and develop treatment plans based in the assessment of issues.
-provide culturally appropriate programs to educate and promote addictions awareness and addiction free lifestyles (mental health addiction related topics)
-provide outreach counselling in the community as well as referrals
The Qualifications of this position are as follows:
Completion of a certificate, diploma in Addictions Counselling and/or in Social Work or Counselling with addictions training. Preference for applicants ho have been certified by Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation, or Canadian Council of Professional Certification (CCPC) First Nations Certification Minimun (2) years experience in Addictions Counselling.
-Excellent Communication Skills
-Ability to develop and maintain budgets and do financial and administrative reporting
-Ability to write applications and proposals to different funding agencies
-knowledge of addictions-awareness, prevention and treatment
-willingness to travel and must have valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
-counselling experience (maintain strict confidentiality guidelines)
-filing and record keeping skills, excellent computer experience and knowledge
-ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
-experience working with all ages
-Must be alcohol free for minimum of (2) years and willing to submit a crimminal record check and police records check.
